Catering & Outside Sales Manager

Department: Shift Lead
Location: Mayfield Heights, OH

Our Catering/Outside Sales Manager is a critical role to our leadership team that oversees all sales outside the restaurant, ensuring execution of Chick-fil-A Catering services and quality standards. As a Catering/Outside Sales Manager you will also be responsible to support the rest of the operations when business need or time allows. This individual has a heart for servant leadership, seeks to do everything with excellence and develop the team around them. It is our belief that leaders serve best, working alongside our team in the day to day operations. Providing remarkable experiences with operational excellence and desire to have a positive impact are all minimum requirements for this position. This position requires travel to local businesses, be present with guests and team members, and minimal office/planning time per week.

Catering Manager Specific Duties & Responsibilities

In this role, your time should be spent (in order): executing catering orders, assisting with in-restaurant operations (if needed), and growing catering accounts/sales.

Operational Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential catering customers, including 3rd party sales & ADP (Additional Distribution Points)
  • Distribute marketing materials to potential catering customers in collaboration with the Marketing Director
  • Identifies opportunities with potential and existing customers by serving Chick-fil-A menu items at business meetings, corporate events, and “lunch & learn” events.
  • Makes the sale, secures the agreement (in collaboration with operator/admin) to cater events with Chick-fil-A products.
  • Follow up with catering customers to inquire about their experience.
  • Keep catering area organized
  • Put all TMS coolers and tables up before leaving for the day
  • Put a number system on the coolers to track them so we don’t lose any
  • Make sure all paperwork is in order for the Executive Director
  • Make sure all items have been rung through the register whether as a sale or a promo free
  • Have all pickup orders and delivery orders together (condiments and utensils also to CFA Standards). If you won’t be there for the pickup, assign a responsible person to be the contact for the order.
  • Complete the weekly RQA for catering
  • Schedule time with the Owner/Operator to discuss catering clients
  • Keep track of all mileage/reimbursement expenses for catering operations
  • Leverage Spotlight to foster & maintain guest relations
